Tanya Moat

Tanya Moat is the CEO of the United Way of Southwest Minnesota, where she leads the organization’s mission to unite community resources and create lasting, positive change in the region.

Stepping into the CEO role in August 2026 after serving as the Community Impact and Internal Programs Coordinator, Tanya brings a deep, boots-on-the-ground understanding of the local nonprofit landscape. Over her tenure, she has been instrumental in expanding public engagement in key program initiatives like the Stuff the Bus school supply drive and the Community Impact Grants, while also launching the Bright Beginning, Brighter Future Scholarship program.

A passionate advocate for local collaboration, Tanya is dedicated to the "Give Where You Live" philosophy—ensuring that support stays right at home to help individuals and families across Southwest Minnesota thrive.

Tanya resides in Marshall with her ginger tabby cat, Max. He isn’t the brightest cat (he is an orange cat, after all), but he is beloved.
