Join Us in Supporting Local Students.
Thank you for helping area students start the year strong and for giving your time to strengthen our community. Volunteering is one of the most powerful ways we connect with one another and reminds us that helping others is at the heart of a thriving community. Your willingness to lend a helping hand not only ensures local students have the school supplies they need but also demonstrates the importance of giving back and lifting up our neighbors to them. Thank you for showing up and doing the work.
It takes many hands (and muscles) to distribute thousands of school supplies, and we have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Please review the options and complete the volunteer sign-up form below.
Friday, July 31: Count and Sort Supplies
Volunteers will help count and organize school supplies gathered from the donation locations from 10:00 AM to Noon at the UWSWMN office. 3-4 people needed.
Tuesday, August 4: Set Up for Distribution Day
Volunteers will help set-up tables and organize supplies as they arrive at the Merit Center from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This will involve lifting heavy boxes. 3-4 people needed
Wednesday, August 5: Distribution Day
Volunteers will prepare for distribution by "shopping" or counting supplies for individual schools to pick-up. If possible, please bring a cart or wagon to assist with moving supplies as you go through the line.

Shift 2: 10:30 AM -12:00 PM at the Merit Center. 10 people are needed.
