Otter Tail Power Company Foundation supports Stuff the Bus

The Otter Tail Power Company Foundation has a priority giving area of health and human services.  This priority focuses on programs that help individuals and families struggling with daily living challenges, including hunger, poverty, domestic violence, homelessness, and disabilities.  The foundation’s donation of $500 to United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) for the Stuff the Bus initiative will help provide school supplies and hygiene items for students in our overlapping service area.

Support like this donation from Otter Tail Power Company Foundation helps provide local K-12 students with essential school supplies needed to learn and be successful, allowing them to focus on their academic goals.  UWSWMN’s annual Stuff the Bus drive is now underway with local workplace collection drives as well as public drop-off sites throughout our service area.  In August of 2021 this initiative distributed 56,250 school supplies to nearly 3,500 K-12 students at 23 local schools.

You can make a difference in a child’s life and help them prepare for school.  Please consider donating school supplies at one of our drop-off locations.  If you are unable to donate supplies, but would like to contribute financially, you may mail checks to: UWSWMN, P.O. Box 41, Marshall, MN 56258. Please note “Stuff the Bus” on the memo line. You can also donate online by visiting www.unitedwayswmn.org/STB.  Financial donations are accepted year round for this initiative and allow us to purchase school supplies in bulk at a low cost.

Thanks to Otter Tail Power Company Foundation for supporting Stuff the Bus!
