WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Program Awarded Small Grant

The United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) Board of Directors recently approved Small Grants in Round I totaling $7,482. The Small Grant program is an outreach of the Community Impact funding process. The available amount of grant dollars each year is subject to change. One-time grants, up to $5,000, are awarded to organizations aligned with UWSWMN’s priority areas.

WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Program was the recipient of a Small Grant totaling $2,500. This one-time grant will assist victims of domestic violence & sex trafficking by having access to an enclosed trailer to help with the relocation process as they seek safety, which aligns to UWSWMN’s safety & well-being priority area.

The other grant recipients in Round I are Countryside Public Health and Mustard Seed Kids Childcare in Balaton.
