Community Impact Grant Application

United Way of Southwest Minnesota Accepting Community Impact Grant Applications

United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) is excited to announce that we are now accepting Community Impact Grant applications through our online process.

United Way is an organization that works to improve every community member's health, education, and financial stability.  In southwest Minnesota, we focus on health, education, financial stability, hunger, and safety & well-being.  Programs that want to apply for funding must meet guidelines, align with at least one priority area, serve people in the service area, and be a 501(c)(3) organization, public school, or government unit.  UWSWMN welcomes new grant requests as long as they meet our guidelines.  Visit UnitedWaySWMN.org/CIG for granting guidelines.

UWSWMN requires first-time grant applicants to have a representative attend a free grant workshop.  These workshops provide the necessary information to succeed with your application.  You will learn about the UWSWMN grant process, tips on grant writing, and other helpful insights.  The workshops will be held in person on the following dates and times: Thursday, March 14, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and Friday, March 22, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  If you have questions or want to RSVP, please email unitedway@unitedwayswmn.org or call 507-929-2273.

Grant applications are due on April 5, 2024, at 4:00 pm.  No extensions will be granted.  Community volunteers will review all applications, and the UWSWMN board will make funding decisions.
