Otto Named United Way Community Engagement & Education Coordinator

United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) announced today that Shelby Otto has joined the organization as the Community Engagement & Education Coordinator. In this position, she will provide strong, strategic, collaborative leadership focused on the work and impact of United Way throughout southwest Minnesota.

Sarah Kicmal, UWSWMN President & CEO, stated, “We are excited to welcome Shelby as our new Community Engagement & Education Coordinator.  She comes to the United Way with a wealth of experience in education, project and event management, and communications.  Shelby’s skills, talents and passion will help United Way of Southwest Minnesota continue to focus on meeting the needs of people in our region.”

Otto is a former first grade teacher at Park Side Elementary in Marshall.  She holds a B.A. in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University along with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Valley City State University.  Otto is a graduate of Lincoln Hi High School in Ivanhoe.
