United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) reports a total of $499,000 was raised during the 2021-22 fundraising campaign. A small portion of the funds raised locally will be paid directly to local organizations as designated by the donors. All other funds raised will support programs working to improve the lives of people living in the 35 communities we call home. Because of funds raised in last year’s campaign, 43,000 local people’s lives are being impacted through internal programs, community partner programs and/or other initiatives.
Campaign chair Al Castor said, Thank you to everyone that supported United Way of Southwest Minnesota this past year. Whether it was through donations, our special events or volunteer time, we appreciate it! Without the $499,000, we would not be able to help Every Person in Every Community, Every Day of the Year.
UWSWMN works behind the scenes by supporting local programs in order to accomplish our mission of uniting people and resources that improve lives and strengthen our communities. Only by working together can we support better living conditions for Every Person in Every Community, Every Day of the Year. The UWSWMN board of directors and staff team would like to thank everyone who donated time, funds and other resources to our campaign. Because of our donors, local lives are being changed.
