- United Way of Southwest Minnesota Venture Grant Deadline Approaching

The deadline for the second round of United Way of Southwest Minnesota venture grants is January 29, 2010.  Organizations serving this area of Southwest Minnesota are eligible to submit grant requests for new activities or programs that support area residents OR for programs that develop leadership skills, management skills, technical assistance and for training of volunteers.  $10,000 was set aside during this fiscal year for the venture grant program.


Earlier $1000 was granted to the Lincoln County Child Abuse Prevention Council to publish a 2010 Lincoln County family resource calendar, and $1000 was granted to the Lee-Mar Ranch Equine Center to help with start-up expenses.
