• To capture the voice of
the communities by actively involving residents in dialogues about
their personal goals for a good quality of life, what in the communities
helps them achieve
this quality of life and what obstacles get in their way.
• To provide information that results from these dialogues to a full
range of organizations, leaders and citizens capable of affecting change
where necessary including government officials, educational entities,
nonprofit agencies.
• To establish community dialogue as a recognized, effective and
empowering means to seek participation in issues of importance.
• To stimulate and encourage people to take positive action on community
goals important
to them.
• To shape future United Way of Southwest Minnesota community impact,
communication
and organizational strategies in light of what we hear and learn from
these conversations. |
