Executive Director's Message

Live United!  I don't just wear the shirt, I live it!  Living united is more than an 8-5 job - it is just what I do.  It is what you do, too.

Thank you for joining with United Way of Southwest Minnesota.  Your generosity and support makes a difference in the lives of people who live right here in this part of Southwest Minnesota.  And that is something to feel good about.

One of the best ways to see how your contribution is making an impact is to visit our frequently updated website:  www.unitedwayswmn.org.  You can find out about our progress on addressing important community issues, read about some of the people whose lives you've helped to change and sign up for the free local eNewsletter.

Another way to see your donation at work is to lend a hand and volunteer.  Coach a team. Join a committee.  Read a story. Be a mentor. Help call people to donate blood.  United Way and our community partners appreciate volunteers to help extend our reach into the community.  People who are involved in volunteer activities feel more connected to the place where they live.

On behalf of everyone in our community and all of us at United Way, thank you for doing your part to make lasting changes right here where we live.  That's living united.

Ruth Ascher
